Hi.
Just saw the MetaTalk post about this writing group and am interested to see how it goes.
I am a professional writer, although I don't make my living at it yet. I've a poetry collection (The Glaze from Breaking, Stride, 2005) and been in a bunch of magazines. I write both speculative and literary stuff. I also used to work for the Writers' Federation of Nova Scotia, where part of my job was to advise people on the business aspects of writing.
I don't currently know any writers in my area - two months ago, my husband and I moved from Tennessee to New Hampshire, so I don't really know anybody here at all - so what I hope to get out of the group is to have some meaningful conversation about writing that I am lacking in face-to-face interactions.
